UCAT GROUP COURSE
This popular course follows on from the free group webinar, and consists of a 5-lesson series of group lessons prepared by the UK's highest-scoring UCAT tutors!
Lessons will be run on:
6-7.30 PM: Wednesday, 4th September - Verbal Reasoning
6-7.30 PM: Thursday, 5th September - Decision Making
6-7.30 PM: Friday, 6th September - Quantitative Reasoning
6-7.30 PM: Saturday, 7th September - Abstract Reasoning
6-7.30 PM: Sunday, 8th September - Situational Judgement & Discussion about Mindset!
Also - access all week to UCAT support on a group chat from the course leads!
Classes are not available individually - as a complete set only.
Note: this will be a small-group, interactive format. Students will be encouraged to participate for durations of the class (no pressure though ofc!)
Can't make these dates? Not to worry - the classes will all be recorded & hosted on our secure Google Classroom platform. For privacy reasons, these will not be shared widely (e.g. YouTube) and will only be available to those that sign up now.
Plan:
Quantitative Reasoning
- How to approach the most badly answered question types in a time-efficient manner (e.g. taxes, interest, conversions, multi-step calculations)
- Time-saving calculation strategies
Decision Making
- How to manage time in the DM subsection
- Detailed exploration of strategies for each DM question type (syllogisms, logic puzzles, arguments, interpreting information, probabilities)
Verbal Reasoning
- Exactly which VR questions to answer or skip
- Time-efficient strategies for each VR question type
- Explaining the "VR route-map"
Abstract Reasoning
- Triggers for the most commonly occurring abstract reasoning patterns
Situational Judgement
- Dissection of the key themes involved in SJT scenarios
- Developing a framework that will enable you to score band 1 every time
An opportunity for Q&A will be presented both during & at the end of each webinar. Very happy to overrun a little if people have additional questions, once all core content has been covered.
From the above brief explanation of what is being planned, I'm sure that you can see this isn't going to work with 100s of people: will be offering this on a first-come-first-served basis.
Pricing? £100 for the set of 7.5 hours - i.e. £13/hr
Note:
All paying students will be supported throughout the week with access to a group chat where I will arrange for myself & other UCAT tutors to provide regular assistance and advice (including worked solutions if needed) after the group lessons are completed. This would not be the existing "UCAT Experts" chat, but a new chat that will be open for messages and interaction. Only students who have participated in the live group classes/recorded classes would be invited for this.
