UCAT GROUP COURSE

This consists of a 10-lesson series of group lessons prepared by Ojas, one of the UK's highest-scoring UCAT tutors!

This course is reintroduced after the immense success of group and 1-1 students in the previous admissions cycle (student scores so far include: 3370 🤩, 3340, 3120, 3080, 3060 & university placements including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, KCL + countless others).

Lessons will be run from:

6-7 PM: Friday, 26th July - Decision Making I (Yes/No Questions)

6-7 PM: Sunday, 28th July - Quantitative Reasoning I (M+/M-/MRC; Taxes; Speed-Saving Tips)

6-7 PM: Tuesday, 30th July - Verbal Reasoning I (Approaches for Specific vs Inference Questions)

6-7 PM: Friday, 2nd August - Abstract Reasoning I

6-7 PM: Sunday, 4th August - Situational Judgement

6-7 PM: Tuesday, 6th August - Decision Making II (Logic Puzzles; Arguments) 

6-7 PM: Friday, 9th August - Verbal Reasoning II

6-7 PM: Sunday, 11th August - Decision Making III (Probabilities, Venn Diagrams, Recap) 

6-7 PM: Tuesday, 13th August - Quantitative Reasoning II

6-7 PM:  Friday, 16th August - Abstract Reasoning II 

Note: this will be a small-group, interactive format. Students will be encouraged to have microphones + cameras on for durations of the class (no pressure though!) 

Can't make these dates? Not to worry - the classes will all be recorded & hosted on our secure Google Classroom platform. For privacy reasons, these will not be shared widely (e.g. YouTube/offered for sale) and will only be available to those that sign up now.

Quantitative Reasoning

- How to approach the most badly answered question types in a time-efficient manner (e.g. taxes, interest, conversions, multi-step calculations)

- Time-saving calculation strategies

Decision Making

- How to manage time in the DM subsection

- Detailed exploration of strategies for each DM question type (syllogisms, logic puzzles, arguments, interpreting information, probabilities)

Verbal Reasoning

- Exactly which VR questions to answer or skip

- Time-efficient strategies for each VR question type

Abstract Reasoning

- Triggers for the most commonly occurring abstract reasoning patterns

Situational Judgement

- Dissection of the key themes involved in SJT scenarios

- Developing a framework that will enable you to score band 1 every time

Pricing?  £200 to guarantee a spot at medical/dental school, including over 20 hours of support over summer (less than £10 an hour!)

Note: 10% of spots are reserved for widening participation students and are 100% free of charge. These are reserved for students in genuine need, who would not be able to otherwise afford any form of tuition. This includes those meeting the criteria outlined for the UCAT Bursary Scheme. Supporting evidence for eligibility may be requested. 

Where demand exceeds the number of spaces available, students who meet the criteria above AND one or more of the following criteria will be prioritised: (1) looked after children/care leavers; (2) refugees/asylum seekers/those with limited leave to remain; (3) young carers.
